What OurHut is
OurHut is an informal household directory — a “signpost” that helps families remember where things are and who to call. It is not a legal vault, a will, an estate-planning tool, a password manager, or a financial service, and nothing in it constitutes legal, financial, or medical advice.
What you agree not to store
OurHut is designed for locations, names, and contacts only. You agree not to enter passwords, account numbers, Social Security numbers, card numbers, access codes, or similar credentials. The app includes checks that try to catch these, but responsibility for what you type rests with you.
Household access
Anyone who joins your household gets full access to what's stored there. New members join only after an existing member approves their request — there are no read-only links or codes that grant access on their own. Treat your device's sign-in the way you'd treat a house key.
Payment
Paid plans are a one-time payment covering 3 years — never a recurring subscription. Renewal is offered at the price you originally paid. Payments are processed by Stripe; OurHut never sees or stores card numbers.
Provided as-is; limitation of liability
OurHut is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. All content is entered by you and your family — we cannot verify its accuracy. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of OurHut and its operator for any claim arising from your use of the service is capped at the amount you paid for your current plan.
